VPD D.R.E.A.M. Hockeyball Classic
The VPD D.R.E.A.M Hockeyball Classic was an event run by Constables Meghan Agosta and Kurt Spence of the VPD with support from Vancouver Police Foundation.
The tournament brings over 240 students together with officers, first responders, and Canucks alumni for a day of friendly competition, teamwork, and fun. Held on National Indigenous Peoples Day, we had the honour of Squamish Nation Xwechtaal Dennis Joseph, help us celebrate the cultures and contributions of the local First nations.
Hockeyball worked closely with three-time Olympic gold medalist Constable Meghan Agosta to secure the venue with the City of Vancouver and the stunning backdrop of Jack Poole Plaza.
Hockeyball supplied the equipment; rinks, flooring, rink boards, sticks, balls, refs, scorekeepers and many volunteers. This project was launched after the Junior Canucks Floor Hockey program began to donate floor hockey school kits to elementary schools in BC. 16 Schools and over 240 grades 6/7 students played over 40 games on Saturday June 21st, 2025.
Thanks to all the sponsors and partners for making this happen and we hope you enjoy the video.
